The Role
We are excited to recruit a dynamic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Liverpool. Starting as soon as possible, this is an excellent opportunity to guide pupils through their final year of primary education, preparing them for SATs and the transition to secondary school. You’ll inspire and challenge your class while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. This is a full 360 role.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Year 6 pupils
• Prepare students for SATs assessments, ensuring they achieve their full potential academically
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages confidence and independence
• Assess and track pupil progress, using data to tailor teaching and interventions effectively
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to meet the needs of all learners
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and transition events
What we are looking for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching at Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, including SATs preparation and assessment processes
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils
• A reflective and adaptable teaching style, with a commitment to supporting every child’s progress
