The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils in a school in Sefton. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you will play a key role in helping children thrive academically and socially. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive school environment and help children flourish in their education.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN) such as SEMH, ASD, or ADHD.
• Assist with classroom management and support the delivery of engaging lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment through encouragement and tailored interventions.
• Act as a supportive presence for pupils, helping them build confidence and develop key skills.
• Liaise with teachers and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s educational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to feedback for teaching staff.
What we are looking for
• Knowledge of how to support children’s learning and development in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, staff and families
• Ideally experience working with children or young people in an education, care, or support role (not mandatory).
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature, with a passion for improving young lives.
