Shenley Brook End School is seeking a highly motivated and passionate SEND practitioner to join us as our new SENCO.

The successful candidate will lead our SEND provision, managing our Assistant SENCOs and a large team of teaching assistants, including specialist support staff. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with SEND achieve exceptional outcomes, both academically and personally.

We have established strong whole-school approaches to inclusive and adaptive teaching, and we are looking for a leader who will build on this success, driving continuous improvement in SEND provision. SEND is central to our vision of becoming a fully inclusive school and is supported by a range of specialist teams across the school.

The successful candidate will:

Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, external agencies and the local authority.

Be committed to securing excellent progress and outcomes for students with SEND.

Have experience of working within, and ideally leading, SEND provision.

Be an outstanding communicator with strong organisational skills.

Work collaboratively with our pastoral, wellbeing and behaviour teams to ensure students receive effective and holistic support.
