Learning Support Assistant (Special School)

Have you ever considered supporting the Teaching and Learning of children and young people who have Special Needs?

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our hardworking and friendly team, working to support our special needs children aged 3-19 years, covering a whole range of complex needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD, and challenging behaviour.

Working hours

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.50 am - 3.20 pm Tuesday 8.50 am -4.20 pm (team meeting 3.20 pm -4.20 pm) every other Tuesday Friday 8.50 am - 1.10 pm

Training every Monday and Thursday 3.20 pm- 4.20 pm - during your training period

Monday - Friday term time only plus all inset days

Essex Pay Structure

Scale 3, point 6 (Pro Rata)

Depending on experience

Actual Salary paid in 12 monthly payments £17,683.47 including Fringe allowance

Experience not needed; in-house training provided.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above

• Have some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs

• Have a caring nature

• Be able to communicate effectively with children and adults

• Be able to work as part of a team
