The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to work in a Primary school in Liverpool through our agency. This role involves providing tailored support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and flourish in a nurturing environment. Working alongside teachers, you’ll make a real difference to young learners’ educational and personal development. This is a full-time role on a Temp to Perm basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN) such as ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment
• Support pupils with their academic tasks, social skills, and emotional well-being
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored interventions under teacher guidance
• Encourage independence and confidence in pupils through encouragement and praise
• Record observations of pupil progress and share feedback with teaching staff.
What we are looking for
• An understanding of how to support children’s learning and development in a primary school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents
• A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach, with a passion for helping young learners succeed
• Ideally experience working with children in an education, care, or support role (not essential)
