The Role
We are delighted to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Primary School in St Helens, starting in May 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and nurture young learners in their crucial early years, working within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundations of children’s education through creative and engaging teaching.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality, play-based lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and growth
• Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and school staff to support each child’s development.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and happy learning space
• Contribute to the wider school community through events, activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
What we are looking for
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within the EYFS phase
• A deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles
• Creativity and passion for early education, with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
