Exam Invigilator

Are you reliable, organised and able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment?

We are looking for Exams Invigilators to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary and support the smooth, effective running of examinations throughout the school year.

This is a flexible opportunity where you will work as and when required, particularly during key examination periods. You will play an important role in creating a calm, well-organised environment, ensuring examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with required procedures.

No previous invigilation experience is necessary, as we will provide training and guidance.

Your new role

As an Exams Invigilator, you will support the school in delivering examinations in a secure, calm and well-organised environment.

Working closely with the Exams Officer and wider school team, you will supervise students during examinations and ensure all relevant procedures and regulations are followed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are ready before students arrive
• Supervising students throughout examinations and maintaining appropriate examination conditions
• Distributing and collecting examination papers and other materials securely
• Providing students with clear instructions at the beginning and end of examinations
• Ensuring examination regulations and school procedures are followed at all times
• Responding appropriately to queries and reporting any concerns or irregularities to the Exams Officer
• Supporting students with approved access arrangements where required
• Maintaining confidentiality and the security of examination materials

You will work as part of the wider exams team to help ensure students have a positive and well-managed examination experience.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Previous experience of working within a school or examination environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a casual contract, working as and when required, at £13.45 per hour, with a proposed start date of November 2026.
