Deputy Head (Head of Inclusion)

The Deputy Headteacher/Head of Inclusion role at Warren Dell Primary School is a pivotal leadership position within our school community. This unique opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to become an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape the strategic direction of the school while leading our inclusive provision.

Working closely with pupils, staff, families and external agencies, the postholder will play a central role in ensuring that every child is supported to thrive, achieve and reach their full potential. This is a role that will particularly appeal to an ambitious and passionate leader who believes that every child deserves the very best opportunities, regardless of their starting point or individual needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with our wonderful children, including those who attend our transition classes and Specialist Resource Provision, as well as our dedicated and highly skilled staff team. They will lead and manage the school's inclusive provision, ensuring that all pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities and those considered vulnerable, receive the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.

This role requires a school leader with experience of working with children with a diverse range of needs and their families. We are seeking someone who is highly inclusive, ambitious for all children and committed to ensuring that every pupil flourishes. The successful candidate will also be a dynamic and collaborative leader, able to work positively with colleagues, parents, governors and external agencies to maintain and further develop the high standards already established across the school.

Warren Dell Primary School is a one-form entry school located in South Oxhey, Watford. The school provides a high-quality education for approximately 265 children from pre-school to Year 6, including pupils who attend our Specialist Resource Provision and those supported through the Acorn Centre, our Primary Behaviour Support Service.

We offer a range of extended provision for our families, including 30-hour nursery places, a before-school breakfast club and after-school clubs that are run by the school. Children also benefit from a wide variety of enrichment opportunities, both during and beyond the school day, which enhance their learning and personal development.

The school enjoys extensive grounds, including separate playgrounds for each key stage and large open field spaces that provide excellent opportunities for recreation, sport and outdoor learning.
