Job Title: Careers Advisor

Salary: £16,461 to £17,523 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 22.5 hours a week, term time plus one week

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated person to join our team as a Careers Advisor to lead and deliver our careers education programme and help prepare our students for successful transitions into further education, training and employment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced careers professional who is committed to improving life chances and raising aspirations. Working closely with students, staff, employers and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring every student receives high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance.

Essential

• A Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (or be working towards completion).
• Experience of delivering careers guidance within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of careers education and guidance best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to engage and inspire young people from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Experience of supporting students with progression planning and destination pathways.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable

• Experience of using Compass+ and Unifrog.
• Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Experience of supporting vulnerable learners and reducing NEET risk.
• Experience of working with employers, higher education providers and external partners.
